Succulent Wall Planter
I am LOVING the succulent trend right now, but I can never keep them alive – luckily FloraCraft makes some amazing faux succulents that you can find at WalMart. I recently used them to fill a chicken feeder and then attached it to our wall and it gets all the compliments! I’m excited to show you how I put this together.
Supplies needed to make this project:
- FloraCraft® Make It Fun® Foam Blocks
- FloraCraft® Design It: Simple Style® Succulent and Air Plant Picks
- Dried Spanish Moss
- Wire Cutters
- Chicken Feeder or Other Container
Instructions:
First, I cut the foam blocks to fit into the bottom of my container. This will give a sturdy base in which to place the succulents. For extra security, use low-temp glue to attach the foam to the container. Then, I hid the foam with the Spanish moss.
For my shallow container, I used the wire cutters to cut the stems of the succulent picks to fit. I left about an inch and a half of the stem.
To secure the succulents in your container, simply press their stems firmly through the moss and into the foam sheet. Arrange as desired. I spread out the tall ones first and then filled in with the low-profile succulents.
That’s all there is to it!! And the best part – it’s going to stay looking this great (without water!)
