Fall Decorative Fabric Balls
There is just something about fall that makes me want to craft up decor! Today I want to show you an easy way to do just that with these Fall Decorative Balls! You can put them on display in a bowl or push a stick into the end and put them in a vase (like I did). Lots of possibilities with these depending on the fabric colors you use.
Supplies needed to make this project:
- FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: 2” Ball (or preferred size for your decor)
- Fabric (cut into 1.5 inch squares)
- Straight Pins
- Low-Temp Glue Gun & Glue
Instructions:
Grab the back of a fabric square in the center and pinch the center together.
Then push a straight pin through the folded center and into the foam ball. Once secured to the ball you can fluff out the fabric.
Continue repeating this step pinning the fabric squares next to each other as you go.
Until it is filled to the fullness desired.
Then it’s up to you how to display them. In a bowl on a coffee table would be super cute. I used mine in a vase, so I put the balls onto sticks by pushing the stick into the foam. I started with a rustic stick, but ended up switching it out to a dowel rod to match my wheat stalks in my vase. Pull the stick (or dowel) back out of the ball, add a dab of low-temp glue and then reinsert it into the same hole for a secure hold.
I love how they look like flowers in this fall tablescape!
Enjoy making a version of your own!
