DIY Tulip Wreath

Spring is on its way!  With the warmer weather, the fresh buds on the trees and ground signaling the renewal of life, it’s the beginning of a fresh start. I love this time of year and look forward to switching up my home decor to reflect the changes occurring outdoors. This includes lots of beautiful greenery and bright florals. This DIY Tulip Wreath is one of my favorite new accents and you won’t believe how easy it is to put together.

Supplies needed to make this project:

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: 16″ Wreath
  • 5 Tulip Bunches or 50 Faux Tulips Stems
  • Moss Ribbon
  • Floral Shears
  • Floral Pins
  • Scissors

Instructions:

To get started you’ll wrap your foam base with moss ribbon. Wrap about 1/3 of the way around the wreath and pin in place using floral pins.

Trim down the tulip stems leaving about 4-5″ using floral shears or wire cutters.

Starting at the top of the moss ribbon, you’ll pin tulips in an overlapping fashion. Alternate different colors to create a vibrant pattern. Continue to overlap tulips, filling in spaces and covering the foam, until the wreath form is completely covered.

Tip: To ensure there is no foam showing through, you can cover your entire base with ribbon before adding the flowers.

That’s it! Easy peasy!

Now you have a beautiful and vibrant tulip wreath to welcome Spring with its bright and bold colors. This is definitely one of my most favorite wreaths and could be used all year long.
