Shooting Star Yarn Garland

Today I have a cute and easy star garland for you! It turned out just so darn adorable! We have moved it around the house (my girls are both fighting over it! They each want it in their room!) It seriously looks great anywhere and we love the pop of yellow it adds to our home!

Supplies needed to make this project:

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: Sheet 1/2″ x 12″ x 36″
  • FloraCraft® StyroCutter® Plus or Foam Cutter
  • Star Template
  • Permanent Marker
  • Bright Yellow Yarn

Instructions:

I took a marker and traced around my star pattern so each piece was nice and even.

Then using a StryoCutter (LOVE this tool! It makes it so easy to cut out intricate designs!), I cut out the stars!  Be sure to read the package instructions carefully…this tool gets HOT!

After the stars are cut out, just wrap them with yarn. I did it two different ways and I think wrapping the middle and then the points worked the best….so opposite of the picture!

Last, attach the stars to a string of yarn with either glue or pins and hang it up!.

Here I hung it with lights!

You could also make a big version for a decoration on a shelf! You can try this out with hearts or shamrocks too!
