Felt Beaded Trees
Looking for a bright and fun way to decorate for the holidays? Today I’m sharing how to make these adorable and easy Felt Beaded Trees. These are so simple to assemble and can be customized in many different ways.
Supplies needed to make this project:
- FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: Cones
- Felt (color of choice)
- Beads (color of choice)
- Scissors
- Low-Temp Glue Gun and Glue
Instructions:
You’ll start by cutting out your felt strips to wrap around and glue to the foam. The foam cones come in several different sizes so you’ll determine how many strips (and the width) of the felt depending on the size of cones you choose. I cut my felt into 3 strips about 3/4″ tall.
Glue the felt strips to the cone in a stripe pattern. You’ll want to pull it taut to make sure it lays as flat as possible against the foam.
Next, add a bit of glue to the exposed portion of the cone in small sections then apply beads in rows as you go. I found it easier to go section by section starting at the bottom.
When you get the top, you’ll gently glue beads on top of one another to create a “point”. At this point you can also use ribbon to add a bow on top if you choose.
Aren’t these so cute and fun? You can customize them to any decor style by choosing colors of beads and felt that will work with your decor. Plus, these make fun gifts too!
