Ribbon Heart Wreath with Video Tutorial

Hi Everyone!  I’m Mandy with Sugar Bee Crafts and I’m addicted to Valentine Crafting 😉  And, you can’t say you’re done Valentine Crafting unless you’ve conquered this heart wreath.  Today’s tutorial is for a Ribbon Heart Wreath and it is a simple project that you’ll have done in no time!

Supplies needed to make this project:

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Extruded Heart Wreath
  • Low-Temp Glue Gun & Glue
  • Ribbon in Desired Colors
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Measure and cut several pieces of ribbon to approximately 9 – 10 inches long.

With the extruded foam heart wreath, the ribbons glide right on!  To attach them, fold your piece of ribbon in half and then place the loop end under the wreath, towards the outside.

Reach through the loop and grab the two tail ends.

Pull the tail ends through the loop.

And voila, the ribbon is instantly tied around the wreath form.

I then used dabs of glue on each ribbon knot area to keep it secured and prevent it from sliding out.

After the wreath was completely covered, I trimmed up any odd ends.

And that’s it!  Your wreath is ready to hang.  You can see the fun ribbon tie detail – I just love it!

This would be a super fun project to do with friends, sitting and chatting while crafting – enjoy making one for yourself!
