Valentine Heart Wand

I’m addicted to Valentine Crafting 😉  This is such a fun Valentine’s craft that you’ll love making for and/or with your kiddos. Everyone will fall in love with the wave of this heart wand!

Supplies needed to make this project:

  • FloraCraft Make It: Fun® Foam: Sheet, 1″ x 12″ x 36″
  • Heart Cookie Cutter
  • FloraCraft® Smooth Finish® (I LOVE this product!)
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Dowel Rod or Paper Straw
  • Ribbon and Pom Pom Trims

Instructions:

First you’ll need a foam heart.  To make this, use a foam sheet and a heart cookie cutter – simply push the cookie cutter down into the foam to create the shape.  I then used Smooth Finish (because I love it!) to cover the heart.  When the Smooth Finish is dry, paint the heart with craft paint and let dry.

When the heart is prepped and ready, it is time to attach the wand handle.  You can use a dowel rod or paper straw.  Push the rod/straw up into the bottom of the foam heart.

Use glue around the base of the heart to secure it.

Next gather a variety of ribbons and trims, cut to various lengths.

Tie ribbons at the base of the heart, in layers.  Once all ribbons are tied on, secure at the base of the bottom ribbon with glue so the ribbons won’t slip down.

That’s all there is to it!!

Enjoy this fun Valentine Wand Craft!!  It also doubles as a princess wand for kids dress up!
