Hershey’s Kisses Kissing Ball

With Christmas almost here, that means that New Year’s Eve is right around the corner!  Hip hip hooray!  2016 was an exciting year for our family (we welcomed an adorable and sweet little girl into our family!!), but I am always ready for a new year and for a fresh start.  And what better way to start the New Year off then a kiss from your sweetie.

Today I am excited to share this really cute Hershey’s Kisses Kissing Ball craft with you!  This is a great way to decorate for the New Year, decorate for a New Year’s Eve Party or to hang as a kissing ball when the clock strikes midnight.  I just love the idea of using Hershey’s Kisses to make this kissing ball.

Supplies needed to make this project:

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam: 6″ Ball
  • Low-Temp Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Hershey’s Kisses (I used milk chocolate and almond so that I had a variety of gold and silver kisses)

Instructions:

This project is really simple and is easy to make while watching a sappy holiday movie or chatting with friends.  And if you happen to eat a few kisses while crafting…no judgement from me!

Simply use your glue gun to attach the kisses to the foam ball.  Because you are gluing a flat surfaced item to a round surfaced ball, there will be some space between the kisses.  If you’d like, you can paint your ball first or cover with tin foil so you don’t see the foam ball.  But I don’t mind the white showing through.

You can spread your kisses out however you like, but for this project I used mostly silver kisses with a few gold ones randomly placed.  But you can do this however you prefer.

After a few minutes of gluing, your foam ball will be covered with delicious kisses and you will have a cute decoration for your New Year’s Eve party!  I love the mixed metallics!

I also love how it looks as a home decor piece!  I think I’ll use a cone or maybe a foam wreath next with their pastel kisses for spring!
